Retail brands were closely watching Myntra’s 12th edition of End of Reason Sale (EORS) – the first online sale after COVID-19 lockdown, which concluded recently. The event was very well received and the results have given high and positive hopes to many!
The Flipkart-owned fashion retailer witnessed an incredible 86 per cent rise in the number of customers from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities – the highest so far – in the sale event.
Myntra saw more than 3.5 million shoppers coming to its online platform to shop during the 4-day event, held from 19 to 22 June. More than 7 lakh were first-timers!
Over 10 million items were sold across multiple categories, topped by women’s westernwear and ethnicwear, men’s jeans, casuals and streetwear, and personal care articles.
As reported by Myntra in a statement, it processed more than 8,000 orders and sold 18,800 items per minute at peak.
The event also recorded more than 30 per cent growth in traffic on a yearly basis.
Commenting on how the latest EORS event went for the company, Amar Nagaram, CEO, Myntra, said “The 12th edition of EORS was a unique and special edition, coming as it did, a few days into Unlock 1.0. The event has managed to bring back smiles of both brands and shoppers.”
While Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Pune were the top five cities that shopped during the event, top Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities included Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Dehradun, Imphal, Aizawl and Panchkula.
So far as top performing brands are concerned, Nike, Puma, Roadster, HRX, Jack & Jones, Libas, H&M and W were the most popular.
