Amazon Fashion India has roped in Saurabh Srivastava as a head. He will be replacing Arun Sirdeshmukh who is quitting after having served the company for more than 4 years.
The company confirmed this development in an ET – leading English daily – report.
Saurabh, Director, Consumables, and Media, a tenured Amazonian, will lead the fashion organisation with immediate effect.
Arun, currently serving his notice period, would be leaving the company in next 3 months. His departure comes as e-commerce platforms gain from the shift of huge number of consumers to shopping online during the pandemic and put pressure on Amazon to catch up with Myntra and Flipkart in the crucial fashion and lifestyle business.
It is also being said that Puneet Gupta, category leader for men, women and kids apparels, is moved to a different position within the company and his current role is being replaced by another Amazon executive.
Notably, Amazon Fashion is today facing stiff competition from Flipkart, Myntra and Ajio.
