Quick commerce platform Zepto has appointed Sushant S. as Director & India Head – People Experience, Workforce Governance, Enterprise Transformation & Operations Strategy, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues its rapid expansion across the country.
In his new role, Sushant will oversee people experience, workforce governance, enterprise transformation and operations strategy across Zepto’s growing business. He will be responsible for managing one of the country’s largest workforce ecosystems, comprising more than 300,000 personnel, including over 50,000 associates and 250,000 riders. His remit will also cover operational support across more than 1,000 stores and facilities nationwide.
As part of his mandate, Sushant will work closely with the company’s business, technology, legal, compliance and operations teams to enhance organisational effectiveness, workforce governance and employee experience across the organisation.
Sushant joins Zepto with extensive experience spanning consumer technology, e-commerce, FMCG, retail and manufacturing sectors. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President and Head of People for India at Diestic Technologies Private Limited, where he established and scaled the human resources function for the company’s rapidly growing rural e-commerce business.
Before joining Diestic Technologies, Sushant held senior human resources leadership roles at Nestlé India and Amazon. At Nestlé India, he served as Head HR – FMCG Retail & Nutrition for East India and at Amazon, he held the positions of HR Lead North and India Employee Relations & Compliance Lead.
