By the end of 2025, Flipkart’s Minutes rapid commerce division hopes to have 800 dark stores, or mini-warehouses, according to group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy.
“We launched our own quick commerce product, Flipkart Minutes, nine months ago,” Krishnamurthy stated during Walmart’s annual investor community meeting. “We only had roughly 100 stores when we first opened. We have now nearly reached 300 stores. We’re likely to reach 800 stores by the end of this year,” he added. In the fiercely competitive rapid-delivery market, Minutes is a new rival to Zepto, Swiggy, Instamart, and Zomato’s Blinkit.
Customers in this product’s target market are sophisticated and have high standards. The supply chain is the most crucial component to the success of this enterprise. According to him, it must be scalable, technologically equipped, nimble, and dependable.
The operation of quick delivery platforms depends on dark stores, as well as their location and size. On average, they distribute the vast array of articles they keep in 15 to 20 minutes.
