Dehradun-based GBKC Fashions, manufacturing quality shirts for top Indian brands like Blackberrys, is growing in multiple directions. The company which added couple of clients like Raymond, Aditya Birla, and Future Group last season, is now further planning to increase its capacity by more than double. The company offers wide variety in shirt manufacturing and is expecting good growth in the current fiscal.

Ritesh Sapra, a pass out from Pearl Academy and CEO of the company informed, “Currently, the company is manufacturing 80,000 shirts per month and it is targeting to have a capacity of two lakh shirts per month in the next couple of years. For this purpose, new machines will also be installed in the existing unit. We are planning for exports also but currently I am not too much sure about it. It will depend on the market conditions and allied things.”
As far as investment is concerned for this expansion, Ritesh refused to quote a figure but he insisted that investment is not an issue as his business is going good. However, he did agree that costing is the biggest challenge with the increasing cost everywhere and customers don’t allow to increase the price. Despite this, quality is still the top priority for him. “One should not compare price and quality as both are quite different verticals,” Ritesh emphasized.
With quality being the primary focus, the company shares strong relations with its clients like it has been working with Blackberrys since last 7 years.
