Radiant Exports, one of the well-known apparel and home furnishing export houses of Noida (Sector 64), witnessed a major fire incident in its factory.
The fire, which started today at 1 am, continued for many hours and even at the time of writing this news, smoke was coming out of the factory premises. In fact, the smoke could be visible from a distance of 100 metres.
More than 16 fire tenders reached the spot to control the fire.
Jitendra Jain, Senior Manager-HR told Apparel Resources, “The fire, caused by a short circuit, started from the first floor of the building, which has three floors. A lot of fabrics, ready goods and machines got burnt in the fire and we are anticipating heavy losses.”
However, he also added that, as of now, nothing concrete can’t be said about overall losses.
Notably, Radiant Exports works with prestigious clients in countries like the US, EU, Australia and the UK.
It is pertinent to mention here that most of the Indian companies follow compliance and safety measures, but with the growing temperature in the summer season, they have to be more careful.
Just a few days back, there was a similar fire incident at Ludhiana’s RT Woollen Mill, which took more than 10 hours for the fire-fighters to control the fire.
