The Man-Made Textile Research Association (MANTRA) in Surat and the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), which is a division of the Quality Council of India (QCI), have partnered to provide a specialised technical training programme on medical textile testing.
MANTRA, which is based in Surat, offers its members and the local textile industry consulting services as well as a knowledge resource to help them expand their businesses.
The programme, which is scheduled for 21st-22nd November 2024, will take place on-site at MANTRA’s Surat facilities. It seeks to give professionals in the business cutting-edge knowledge and useful insights in the field of medical textiles, which is becoming more and more important as the need for sterile, safe, and superior medical textile goods rises.
By promoting knowledge and skill development in the industry, this project also supports QCI’s objective to improve India’s quality ecosystem.
Important subjects such as an overview of medical textiles and their uses, the function of microbiology in textiles, and the techniques and interpretation of microbiological testing for medical textiles will all be covered in the training programme. Laboratory staff, industry executives in charge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and experts in textile testing will all benefit from it.
The goal of the training is to improve technical proficiency and practical knowledge, both of which are essential for upholding strict standards in the manufacturing and testing of medical textiles.
The deputy director of NABL in Ahmedabad, Dr. Bhumi Rajyaguru, claims that “By working together, NABL and QCI reaffirm their dedication to developing a workforce with the skills necessary to reach international standards in the medical textile sector.”
According to Murtuza Chaniwala, assistant director of MANTRA, “This training programme is a key step towards ensuring the highest standards in textile applications for healthcare, reflecting NABL and QCI’s broader vision of fostering quality-focused advancements across industries.”
