“I don’t see any barriers in Bangladesh at all. There is a huge amount of (UK) businesses here, and we have very positive relations (with Bangladesh),” observed the team leader of the visiting business delegation Peter Lindsay, adding, “We look forward to building on that and exploring new avenues.”
Lindsay reportedly said this while interacting with a group of journalists in Dhaka at the end of the delegation’s three-day visit, which also comprised members of the British ‘Aid Funded Business’.
A senior consultant of British Expertise that promotes professional services worldwide, Lindsay underlined that he led the mission of 17 UK companies, the first visit of such a delegation to Bangladesh.

“Some of them already have existing business and relationship here in Bangladesh. Others are coming first time and looking to find partners and to engage with various sectors of economy and business in Bangladesh,” the team leader said, adding, “We had very productive three days. It’s not the end, it’s just the beginning. We are very much looking forward to building the relationship.”
It may be mentioned here that earlier, while addressing a British delegation led by Labour Party lawmakers, which visited the country recently, Opposition leader in Parliament Raushan Ershad reportedly called on the British government to increase investment in the readymade garment (RMG) sector in Bangladesh, adding that UK is also a tested friend and development partner of her country.
