Unexpected problems during these unprecedented times are increasing the challenge of exporters. Now exporters are witnessing the less availability of containers for exports.
The industry has urged Government to pay urgent attention in this regard as the shortage of containers can delay the shipments which is a big challenge.
Ravi K. Passi, Chairman-EPCH, drew attention of the Railways Commerce and Shipping Ministers towards the problem of the shortage of availability of containers for exports and said, “The industry is already under pressure and facing lot of challenges. Any disruption at this critical stage in shipments would be a severe blow to all the export promotion efforts of all the stakeholders. Any delay in shipment may also lead to the cancellation in export orders as well.”
“We have requested all the concerned ministries to urgently look into the matter, so that exports from the country can continue without any hindrance as the interventions of the concerned Ministers would certainly help facilitate timely shipments of the export consignments and thereby promote exports from the country,” he added.
