The Gujarat Garment Manufacturers Association (GGMA), Ahmedabad is geared up to organise the upcoming 31st GGMA National Garment Fair scheduled from 22 to 24 July.
The event will take place at Helipad Exhibition Ground, Gandhinagar (Gujarat).
Arpan Shah, Chairman-Arbitration, GGMA told Apparel Resources, “We are working with a positive approach as vaccination drive is in full swing, and so hopefully by July, the situation will be very much improved.”
He further added that the association will make sure to follow not only all advisory, whatever is required, but will also ensure safety of exhibitors and visitors at the show.
The organising committee is expecting around 400 exhibitors at the show as on the first day of the booking, 100 companies booked their stalls. At the same time, 25 per cent more visitors are expected this year compared to last year when 20,000 visitors had visited the event.
“There are many reasons why we are expecting good number of exhibitors and visitors this year. Industry now wants to focus more on business and wishes to explore opportunities as last few months have been very much challenging. Few organisations have performed well, while some have faced drastic losses. Knitted garments are now more in trends…,” said Arpan.
It is pertinent to mention that GGMA is the leading association of Gujarat-based garment manufacturers and has been successfully organising the garment show for last several years.
