The Apparel Training & Design Centre (ATDC) has partnered with the Rajasthan State Industrial Development & Investment Corporation (RIICO) to train 200 youth in apparel manufacturing under RIICO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
The two organisations signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in March 2026 to conduct training programmes in Apparel Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and Production Supervisor Sewing (PSS).
To mark the launch of the initiative, an inauguration and toolkit distribution ceremony was held at ATDC’s Jaipur centre. Toolkits were distributed to trainees to support practical training.
Under the collaboration, four batches of the AMT programme comprising 100 candidates have been planned. The first batch of 27 trainees commenced training in May 2026, while the PSS programme for another 100 candidates is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
RIICO is sponsoring the training costs for all participants under its CSR programme, and each trainee will receive a toolkit as part of the initiative.
Speaking at the event, Atul Sharma, Senior Deputy General Manager, RIICO, said the partnership aims to strengthen the skilled workforce for Rajasthan’s apparel sector. Aseem Singla, LMC Convenor, said the programme focuses on practical training and placement support to improve employability.
Dr. Roopali Shukla, Director, ATDC, acknowledged RIICO’s support under its CSR initiative and said the training programmes are aligned with the requirements of the apparel manufacturing industry.
The event was attended by Aseem Singla, Atul Sharma, Dr. Roopali Shukla, Rajeev Diwan, Naveen Advani, Siddarth Gadhaiya and Harish Punjabi.
