The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) on Monday announced that the fourth edition of its sale event ‘Designer Stockroom’ will go online.
The event is scheduled to take place from 31 July to 2 August.
Over 100 designers from across India will be participating in the sale event, showcasing their collections offering up to 70 per cent discount.
The FDCI, with the help of technology, will create a one-stop portal for the participating designers on its website, where customers will be directed to the ‘Designer Stockroom’ section on the designer’s website.
While speaking about the upcoming event, Sunil Sethi, Chairman, FDCI, shared that the last three editions of Designer Stockroom got immense success, which has led to a number of queries they have already received regarding the fourth sale event.
He further added that they have planned to go online due to the current unprecedented times and they hope to get the momentum back. “This will help cash-strapped businesses and aid them in modernising their business to enable an e-commerce portfolio, which is the future of fashion.”
Besides, the FDCI also has a B2B platform called ‘Designer Showroom’ in the pipeline. The business platform will aim to connect designers with domestic and international buyers for future collaborations.
The Council is also planning to organise the India Couture Week and India Fashion Week in the phygital/digital space, scheduled to happen later this year.
