At the upcoming edition of FESPA Digital 2016, slated to be held from March 8 to 11 in Amsterdam, printing technology provider Ricoh will be presenting its latest printing innovations. It will also be introducing its Aqueous Resin (AR) Latex Ink for Ricoh ProTM L4100 series of wide-format printers at the show.
This ink-type is capable of delivering sharper and rich colours on a wide range of substrates with better drying process and reduced energy consumption as compared to the original latex ink. Also on display at FESPA Digital 2016 will be the MP CW2201SP, a wide-format machine for graphic art industry and Pro C7100X colour cut sheet production system with five-colour station.
The inks have been awarded the Greenguard Gold certification by UL Environment in recognition of low chemical emissions and improvement in air quality where the inks are used. This signifies that Ricoh AR latex inks are suitable for use in sensitive environments such as educational and medical facilities. The inks also have minimal VOCs and odour, eliminating the need for special ventilation, the company states.
