
The recent increase in textile exports, the signing of free trade agreements, and the Indian government’s goal of making India a “global manufacturing hub” have all contributed to the stakeholders in the Indian textile value chain having optimistic expectations for the future. The participants in textile technology and apparel manufacture at the next Gartex Texprocess India, which is set to take place from August 1st–3rd 2024, at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, demonstrate this positive view for the industry.
The recent increase in textile and apparel exports, which were reported by the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) to be 9.59 per cent and 9.70 per cent, respectively, in May 2024, is encouraging for Indian textile players. The Indian textile and apparel market is forecast to develop at a 10 per cent CAGR to reach US $ 350 billion by 2030, with US $ 100 billion in exports anticipated, according to IBEF. Future plans and policies from the Indian government, as well as developments from textile machinery companies, related industries, and producers of textiles, garments, and clothing, are projected to further improve the Indian textile sector.
Around 600 products will be on display at Gartex Texprocess India, which will occupy 15,000 square metres at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi. In addition to India, other nations showcasing their proficiency in textile solutions globally include China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, and the USA in the forthcoming edition.
