Various Textile Research Associations (TRAs) are gearing up to organize 58th Joint Technological Conference (JTC) and Techtex 2019 scheduled on February 15-16, 2019 respectively. The events will take place at NITRA, Ghaziabad.
Northern India Textile Research Association (NITRA), ATIRA (Ahmedabad Textile Industry Research Associated), The Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA), The South India Textile Research Association (SITRA) jointly organize the prestigious events.
“Nearly 25 scientists of TRAs will present their researches at the JTC. These researches are funded by Government of India but 30 per cent contribution for each research is by various private companies of textile industries, so these researches are focused on practical solution on the industry’s various problems or areas of improvements.” – Dr. Arindam Basu, DG, NITRA, told Apparel Resources.
He further added that as all the researches will be presented on a single platform, it will be an interesting opportunity for the textile industry.
Techtex 2019 is a day-long conference on protech and automotive textiles in which experts from defence and automobile industry will share requirement and expectations of textile industry. As NITRA is centre of excellence for protech and automotive, Techtex will focus on the both segments.
