The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) is all set to celebrate 15 years of its event India Couture Week, with a physical event scheduled to take place in New Delhi in July 2022.
The event will showcase creations from top couturiers of the country.
“The most coveted event of the fashion calendar since 2008, FDCI India Couture Week is back,” the FDCI said.
The FDCI added “It has all the makings of a blockbuster– twinkling stars, innovative ideas and unbridled elegance. We are celebrating dedication to craft with leading couturiers, as ICW is back to raise a toast to its 15th year, with a physical event, in the capital, this July. Join us on this embellished journey, as we open another chapter with design mavericks from all over the country.”
Notably, the FDCI had launched India Couture Week in 2008 with its maiden edition featuring designers such as Anamika Khanna, Ashish Soni, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Manish Malhotra, Pallavi Jaikishan, Ritu Kumar, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani and Varun Bahl, all of whom have also gone on to showcase their collections internationally.
The FDCI is yet to announce the list of participating designers for this year.
