
The Japanese pioneer Juki, manufacturing sewing solutions from basic single needle lockstitchers to automats will present all its 43 new and upgraded industrial sewing machines, under the theme “Be the Best in Customer Satisfaction – New Edge Solution for Your Success”. The showcase would be divided in two separate sections, namely apparel and non-apparel, the latter including machines for automobile upholstery.
The new AP-874S pocket setter has now replacement parts for the pocket gauge made of resin and are easily machined, enabling quick changeover of the pocket size and shape possible. The pocket setting can prepare a pocket gauge according to the size and shape of the jeans pocket.
Another new launch at the fair, the MF-7523 & MF-7923 coverstitch machines, with flat and cylinder bed respectively, would be a certain crowd puller at the fair. Suitable for elastic tape attaching on shorts and underwear, the MF-7523 is also provided with a metering device. The MF-7923 is best-suited to the bottom hemming process for T-shirts and polo shirts, with a seam ravelling prevention device which trims the thread after securely tying the needle thread off with a knot at the end of sewing.
Juki is now involved in many consulting work to improve productivity at the shop floor. Its focus of ISS, an IT-based production management tool that enables the real-time review of production data through networked sewing machines in the sewing production line, has helped many companies to improve transparency and just in time information has helped overcome bottlenecks before they happen. The system comprises of the data analysis software (IA-1) and the data measuring terminals (IT series), which contribute to the realization of an actual sewing shop floor, enabling a visual check of the production status.
