Bangladesh’s apparel exports to India have risen by 8.31 per cent to US $ 104.25 million. The boost has come after products including textiles were leased out duty and quota-free access, according to Export Promotion Bureau data.
The surge has been registered despite facing stiff competition for India’s local manufacturers. Besides, the Indian Government patronizes local industry to boost economic growth, which has slowed down RMG exports’ growth to the neighbouring country, shared Khondaker Golam Moazzem, Additional Research Director at Centre for Policy Dialogue.
