Almost Gods, a New Delhi-based independent streetwear brand, is on the hunt for a UK store with the company targeting London as its first stop in the UK. It will also showcase its offer to the UK and European market during fashion week in June.
The brand is scouting for locations in the Soho and Mayfair areas of the West End and is expected to sign a lease this year.
Dhruv Khurana, CEO of the brand, said that the expansion plans come shortly after the brand opened its debut flagship store in Delhi, in a 400 sq.ft. stone-carved space “inspired by the Nabatean architecture of Petra, Jordan.”
The store took five months to put together a life-sized mock-up created out of polystyrene, inclusive of moulds for each separate element from the body of the griffin, wings, columns and broken niches. The store also has a patio space for events, installations, live performances and showcases.
Dhruv said, “The big plan for Almost Gods is to have a vibrant community across the globe. We’re excited about the growing awareness within the UK and European markets and the warmth with which the last collection was received. We’d love to open a retail space within the UK soon.”
