The 49th edition of IHGF (Delhi Fair), which will have 500 exhibitors from across India, is just 2 weeks away!
More than 2,000 wholesalers and importers from across the globe have registered themselves for the event and organisers are on their toes to ensure the visit of more than 7,000 global buyers.
The event, organised by Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), will take place virtually from 13 to 18 July 2020.
In a virtual press conference, Ravi K. Passi, Chairman of EPCH, told that there will be around 2,000 types of products on display in around 14 product categories.
This is the third virtual show by EPCH in COVID phase and will have all facilities that any physical show has. The show will be active 24×7, and to manage different time zones contact details of the buyers and exhibitors will be shared with all.
North East will be the focused region of the show. The event will also have a webinar on sourcing aspects in collaboration with Buying Agents Association (BAA).
Rakesh Kumar, DG, EPCH, shared that EPCH has worked aggressively and taken the advantages of first-mover to improve the handicraft export from India.
Vishal Dhingra, Chairman, BAA, shared that despite the low sentiments in the market, buyers are looking for new products and EPCH is helping the industry in this regard.
He also added that all their foreign clients are looking forward to the fair as they want to move away from other sourcing hubs. “We will slowly but surely become a much larger sourcing hub in the war between US and China,” said Vishal.
