Growing competition and the increasing trend for digital printing is pushing companies to innovate and introduce cost-effective printers which impart greater value additions to apparel and textile products. Reacting to increased demand for the same, world’s most popular digital inkjet printer Durst will soon be launching its new version Kappa 180 V2 digital printer.
Together with the Kappa 180 V2, Durst also offers a powerful dryer-unit, specially developed for knitwear. The GOTS-certified reactive ink system expands its applications to include silk and polyamide which enables the production of cotton, linen, viscose, silk and polyamide, all on the same machine.
Using sublimation inks or reactive inks on fibres such as viscose, silk and cotton, the print eliminates streaking and ensures precise application of colour conformity across the entire print width without reducing production speed. Regardless of print direction, the colour channel is always in a perfect position to optimize the reproduction of designs with intricate colour gradations or delicate patterns. In addition to its flexibility, the printer provides an industrial production capacity of 580m²/hour and a maximum print quality of 1000 dpi.
The printer which gained popularity when it was first introduced at the ITMA 2011 show, will also be seen at the Istanbul (Turkey) International Textile Machinery (ITM) and Shanghai Tex trade fair to be held this month.
