Many hopes are pinned with the launch of this textile cluster near Mysuru as it would help generate employment besides proliferation of ancillary industries supporting the cluster and apart from fuelling the local economy.
Mysuru is among the renowned textile clusters in India known for sericulture and cotton. Though cotton is produced extensively in the H.D. Kote region, but there are no big markets nearby. Coming up of this mega textile cluster in Mysuru will aid cotton farmers to find the market nearer to their region.
Furthermore, Simha was prompt enough to link this move with the ongoing ‘Make in India’ campaign. Assuring stakeholders, he said, “The work is expected to start soon and the process would be expedited with dedicated interventions,”
