The Institute of Fashion Technology at IPS Academy has initiated a five-day training program on augmented reality (AR) in collaboration with the National Institute for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME).
The goal of the programme is to teach those working in the fashion business how to use AR to try on clothes and accessories virtually without having to put them on.
Customers can see how clothing, jewellery, and accessories appear on themselves without actually putting them on thanks to augmented reality technology. Retailers save time as well as simplify the purchasing process for customers. The Institute built the Fashion Innovation Cad Lab, which is outfitted with cutting-edge equipment, to help with this.
It was noted by Preeti Sarva, principal of the Institute of Fashion Technology, that IPS Academy is providing this training at its Rajendra Nagar location. Professionals from a range of fashion business sectors, including apparel producers, retailers, designers, operators of e-commerce websites, and more, are among the attendees. The National Institute for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (NIMSME), an initiative of the Indian government, is funding the training.
Expert Shreyaskar Chaudhary stressed the importance of digital fashion and augmented reality throughout the training session. He described how augmented reality (AR) helps with sustainability and cost-cutting in addition to addressing the problem of global warming. Chaudhary thinks that in the future, fashion and international rivalry would depend heavily on this technology.
The vice president of IPS Academy, Yogendra Jain, promised assistance in instructing students and the fashion industry in this technology.
Preeti Sarva, principal of the Institute of Fashion Technology at IPS Academy, expressed hope for the dramatic changes the fashion industry will undergo as a result of this exceptional training. She thinks that this exceptional training programme will have a big impact on the fashion business.
