India’s leading card clothing maker, The Indian Card Clothing Company Ltd. is all set to change its manufacturing base from Pune (Maharashtra) to Nalagarh (Himachal Pradesh). Notably, the Pune plant had been into production for over six decades but it now is completely closed.
The production plant in Pune has been manufacturing card clothing products for 63 years but with time its speed and production quantity seemed less and didn’t meet the demands. The market is now shifting towards high-speed and higher throughput machines and hence this move is completely strategic, said ICC.
The most advanced machines which provide perfection while manufacturing and highly advanced production techniques are installed in Himachal which will allow the company to accelerate its processes.
While closing of the Pune plant, the company made sure that the interest of their workers is considered and an agreeable settlement was made with them at the time of the closure of the plant.
The firm has planned to soon come up with a range of products aiming high-speed carding machines with a better life and surface technology along with productivity enhancers in the carding accessories and equipment segment.
