COVID-19 cases continue to come up in few Indian textile and apparel units!
Just a few days back, a textile unit in Punjab had reported 143 COVID-19 confirmed cases, and now a garment factory in Rajasthan’s Pushkar has found 4 stitching operators suffering from coronavirus.
The factory has since been closed for 7 days on the advice of the health department.
As per Dr. R.K. Gupta, Pushkar’s medical officer-in-charge, 30 workers were tested in this unit and out of them 4 were tested positive.
On the other hand, in Bengaluru, the Bommanahalli Zone is carrying out a concerted testing programme within factories in its 16 wards after an assessment revealed that a large number of factory workers are testing positive for the disease.
