Across the globe, International Yoga Day was celebrated enthusiastically on 21 June.
In India too, one saw President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi actively participate in various Yoga events.
Indian textile and apparel industry was also a part of this global event as many Indian factories and trade bodies organised yoga sessions and motivated their workers, staff to make yoga part of their life.
Yoga experts were also invited to arrange yoga sessions and guide the staff and workers.
Indore-based leading apparel manufacturer, Pratibha Syntex organised a session and the company’s MD Shreyaskar Chaudhary also participated in the same. The company also did a meditation session for mental health and well-being by Sahajayoga team.
Similarly in NCR, leading apparel exporter Paramount Products also made a special arrangement for its staff.
DAKS India also held similar sessions across its head office and factories. The company is amongst the few Indian textile and apparel players where yoga is a part of daily activities.
“Yoga day or not, meditation at 4 pm is a daily ritual for everyone here at DAKS,” the company said.
The officials of the Ministry of Textiles celebrated International Day of Yoga 2022 led by VK Singh, Special Secretary (Textiles) at Craft Museum, Delhi.
Textile Committee, EPCH, Texprocil and few other organisations also had similar sessions.
