Taking one more step towards sustainability, ST COTTEX, Macchiwara, Punjab has successfully commissioned a 10.5 MWp rooftop solar plant. This state-of-the-art facility will generate 13 million units of electricity per year and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 7000 metric tonnes.
ST COTTEX is a vertically integrated export house that produces 50,000 MT of cotton yarn every year.
As per the website of the textile giant, the manufacturing facility is spread over more than 40 thousand square feet of area and having a total of 11 production units
The installation uses top-of-the-line equipment, including Trina Solar Asia Pacific 540 Wp modules and Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd. 100 kw string inverters, ensuring optimal power generation. Roofsol Energy Pvt. Ltd. has recently completed two more large-capacity rooftop projects, with capacities exceeding 10 MWp.
