In a recent interview to a Nigerian business daily, Jibril Wali – a Nigerian Senator, has shared that the country’s textile sector has the potential to earn US $ 30 billion through exports for the economy. “The industrial revolution began from the textiles industry,” averred the Senator explaining the potential held by the sector in the recent centuries. “The Government should come up with a realistic textiles policy that would take care of our needs to make us survive. This textiles policy should include tax holiday for some years for us to tap our potential in the textiles industry,” Wali proposed.
