Trent Ltd., the retail firm of Tata Group, has announced the financial results for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2018.
During the quarter under review, the retailer posted a standalone net profit of Rs. 11.66 crores as compared to Rs. 25.26 crores in the same quarter last fiscal.
Trent, which operates Westside – one of India’s largest and fastest growing retail chains and other stores – reported revenue of Rs. 528.72 crores from retail businesses during the reporting quarter.
Markedly, standalone income from operations stood at Rs. 448.36 crores in the corresponding period of 2017.
The reporting quarter and fiscal results were reportedly impacted by the acquisition of value fashion business in 2017, thus the company feels it’d not be justified to compare fourth quarter and fiscal results with each other.
The company has already established 85 Westside departmental stores measuring 8,000-34,000 sq. ft. in floor space across 50 cities.
