Bengaluru-based P N RAO, known for men’s suits, more so in the bespoke segment, chalked out an aggressive expansion and growth strategy with plans to grow revenues massively.
Having an existing turnover of Rs.. 60 crore, the brand has a target to achieve around Rs. 150 to Rs. 200 crore in the next three to five years. And also has plans to add 15 showrooms in south and west India.
The brand, with a strong legacy, was founded by Pishe Narayan Rao in the year 1923.
Naveen Pishe, Partner, P N RAO said that the brand has engaged Paul Verscegen, a third-generation master tailor from the Netherlands, to train the tailors.
Having 5 showrooms in Bangalore and 2 in Chennai, the brand is making a re-entry into the womenswear segment, and the focus will be on women’s business apparel. The brand believes that there is huge potential in this segment. This segment will be a separate vertical in the company.
“While on the one hand, Paul Verscegen brings a wealth of experience in pattern making in the Made-to-Measure and Womenswear segment, by virtue of he himself being a third-generation master tailor, he also has the technical know-how of establishing a large apparel manufacturing unit which has been helpful in P N RAO setting up the state-of-the-art manufacturing units in Bangalore”, says Naveen to Apparel Resources.
The brand also has a state-of-the-art manufacturing unit spread in 15,000 sq. ft. that is fully solar-powered. It employs 150 people with many women folk working in the facility.
