Quality, economic efficiency, saving the environment and natural resources are the pre-requisites for any production unit and it is more needed in the dyeing and process houses where a lot of water, chemical and power is required. The environment concerns are rising each day, so all the technology providers are trying their level best to develop the most efficient machines which can give highest saving in terms of water and energy usage. Fong’s, one of the leading dyeing machine manufacturers showcased its latest Synergy 8 dyeing machine with THEN AIRFLOW at the DTG fair.
As more and more vertical setups are increasing in Bangladesh, the country has become a major focus for Fong’s. “We were the first dyeing machine manufacturer to enter Bangladesh, around 20 years back. Since then the country has become a very important market for us and is now second to India,” says Walter Leung, Director Sales & Marketing as per whom Fong’s invests hugely on R&D and after-sales service. Selling its machines through its agent Pacific Associate, one of the largest apparel and textile machinery agents in Bangladesh, Fong’s on an average is selling around 250-300 machines per year in Bangladesh for the past six-seven years.
However, the company is facing a lot of competition from Chinese machines, shares Walter, “Lot many newcomers are entering in processing who do not want to invest on expensive machines, they try to play it safe so they opt for economical machine.” But this has not deterred the company as they feel that there are many companies who believe in investing in best technology which can derive those benefits in long run both in terms of ROI and quality buyers. “The progressive companies in Bangladesh are smart enough to see what was happening in China because of textiles companies which are polluting the environment and how the buyers have blacklisted them. That is the reason why we are displaying our latest technology which is very advanced and is indeed very expensive; the cost is double than any of the hydraulic machine out here. We know that we need to educate people about its long-term benefits and how much water they would save with it as it needs very less water for dyeing and the fabric is dried with air flow,” adds Walter, with a belief that in times to come all the new comers will migrate to Fong’s machines.
Termed as the ‘Rolls Royce’ of piece dyeing, the Synergy 8 aerodynamic high-temperature piece-dyeing machine offers increased capacity, reduces energy consumption and reduces labour requirements compared to the original Synergy machines. Unlike the earlier Synergy machines with a single blower for multiple tubes, the Synergy 8 has a blower for every tube, and these blowers in all use about 50% less installed power than the single-blower Synergy system, and 20% to 30% less operational power.
Synergy 8 also can extend to 12 tubes, increasing possible maximum capacity to 3,600 kilograms. An XY plaiting device provides plaiting of both X and Y direction in order to unload the dyed fabric onto a rectangular trolley without any labour assistance. An integrated intelligent rinsing (IIR) system features a kind of online colour measurement technology to monitor and control the rinsing process, automatically stopping that process once the water is running clear.
