PFAFF Industrial will present 40 high-performance and reliable sewing and welding solutions, for outerwear, shirts, blouses, leather/shoes, automotive upholstery and technical textiles. The PFAFF booth which encompasses more than 300 square metres is part of the new parent company Shanggong Group’s space.
The company will debut the new PFAFF 3590 Portal in Asia. The new machine is an efficient sewing unit ‘Made in Germany’ that sets the standard when it comes to reliability and strength for sewing areas of up to 1200 x 700 mm, with 1200 x 2000 mm under development. The sophisticated sewing technology based on its XXL vertical hook and a unique seam-optimizing system provide the highest seam quality and a perfect stitch quality in multi-directional sewing across the entire sewing area.
The second highlight of the show, the 2081/2083 generation PFAFF machine, is a reliable and powerful high-speed seamer with a good price-performance ratio. An intelligent machine concept made with extremely wear-resistant components guarantee the quality, flexibility and sewing speed of this highspeed seamer series. The built-in drive unit transmits the power directly (direct-drive) to the machine and guarantees a 50% reduction of the power consumption compared to conventional drive units. The needle bar stroke can be adjusted from 30 to 36 mm.
The short seam automat PFAFF 3586 is the most flexible automat with the widest range of applications in its class. The machine may be used to sew single-pointed darts, two-pointed darts (new), shaped darts for skirts with diagonally cut waistband, skirt pleats – open and closed, basting stitch to better press open the seams and short seam to pre-sew seams that are incorporated into the waistband. The patented material takeover station guarantees exact seam lines as pre-set. The stitch condensation at the end of the seam ensures a slim, neat point. The PFAFF 3586-13/02, a new version of this range that sews two-pointed darts on shirts and blouses (seam length 300 mm), will also be displayed in Shanghai.
In the welding section, the new ultrasonic machine PFAFF 8312 dual will be exhibited. The machine cuts the edges, seals the edges and welds the seam again as reinforcement. The two anvil wheels (one for cutting and sealing, and the other for the second weld seam) on one postbed, while on separate shafts. The two wheels are running in sync but the new patented solution ensures individual adjustment of the welding force. The minimum distance between welded seam and cutting is around 1 mm.
